Looking for ocean photography experience like no other? We invite you to join acclaimed ocean photographer and waterman Russell Ord along with lorded surf photographer Domenic Mosqueira for a week-long immersive water experience in his backyard of Teahupo’o, Tahiti.  

Whether you are a budding photographer or a seasoned professional this 6-day ocean photographic experience will move you out of your personal and creative comfort zone whilst having the adventure of a lifetime.

Tahiti is one of the most visually stunning places on the planet. You will spend the week being mentored in both group based and private tuition with daily water and lifestyle sessions along with instruction in basic watermanship. You will explore all that this aquatic paradise offers with access to a private speedboat guided by local surfing royalty and expert Matahi Drollet for the week.

Russell and Domenic will be on hand to review your images and provide post-production guidance so you improve daily.  Discussions will also cover client services, working with athletes, marketing, theoretical knowledge of running your own business, equipment, workflow and image critique sessions.

Your home for the week will be Vanira Lodge Bungalows that blend into their natural surrounds, set amidst the mountains overlooking Teahupo’o and the Pacific Ocean.

Location: Tahiti, Teahupo’o, French Polynesia. 

Teahupoʻo (Te-a-hu-po-o, popular pronunciation is CHO-PO) is a village on the south-east coast of the island of Tahiti, French Polynesia southern Pacific ocean. It is also home to one of the “World’s Heaviest Waves”.

Accommodation: Vanira Lodge

Vanira Lodge has 6 bungalows or as called in Polynesian 'Fare's'. Each 'fare' comes with beautiful & expansive views overlooking the property's luscious gardens flowing out to the sea. The bungalows are built in traditional Polynesian style with walls of stone, bamboo & wood, with some of the bungalow's having pandanus leaf roofs. These all-natural "fare's " are real works of art and create a universe as magic as a child's dream.

Domenic Mosqueira

Domenic Mosqueira was born in Mexico, schooled in Canada, has travelled the globe and now resides in Tahiti with his young family.  Dom has a penchant for chasing some of the heaviest waves on the planet and willingness to put himself in precarious situations to get the shot.  

He has racked up covers from some of the most prestigious surf publication around the world including Tracks, Surfer, Surfing Magazine, Stab and the Surfer's Journal.  He has made a name for himself shooting the infamous and beautiful Teahupo’os with some of the biggest names in the surfing world. Russell Ord

From Rugby League player and Fireman to award-winning Ocean and Lifestyle photographer, Russell Ord found his passion through adventure and the discovery of the untouched/unseen wilderness. 

Based in Margaret River, Western Australia Russell’s photos blend the environment with real-life storytelling, his work has been published in magazines and books throughout the world, was awarded the 2016 IPA International Sports Photographer Of the Year at the prestigious Lucie Awards and exhibited in Germany at Photokina 2016 and Tokyo Japan 2017 for FujiFilm.

His life and work has been the subject of the documentary “One Shot” which was broadcasted nationally by the ABC in a seven-part art series and internationally through Film festivals and Garage Entertainment. (www.oneshotdoco.com)

  • A $2700 non-refundable desposit is required to secure your spot

  • Balance of payment due 90 days prior to photo experience
  • A 2.9% transaction surcharge is incurred for payment via credit cards
  • A 4% transaction surcharge is incurred for payment via PayPal
